Recognizing outstanding student academic achievement, Assumption College has named more than 500 students to the undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

Colgate University is proud to announce the Class of 2018.

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to recipients with a 3.30 or higher grade-point average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours.

This fall, Carthage welcomes 824 new students to the campus community. The total includes 714 incoming freshmen and 110 transfer students. They come from 23 states -- as far away as Alaska, Arizona, California, North Carolina, and Oregon -- and five foreign countries: China, Greece, Ireland, Japan, and Kenya.

More than 100 students took part in summer internships this summer with assistance from the Colgate Center for Career Services' Internship Fund and a variety of alumni-funded fellowships.

The following local residents are among those to be named to the Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Spring 2014 semester. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Recognizing outstanding student academic achievement, Assumption College has named more than 520 students to the undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2013 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Assumption College's 97th Commencement ceremony was held on May 17 on the campus's H.L. Rocheleau Field, where 463 Bachelor of Arts degrees; 217 graduate studies degrees (Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration) and certificates; and 35 Continuing and Career Education degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and associates) were awarded.

The following students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the spring semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. To be eligible, a student must have completed at least four courses and have grade-point average of 3.6 (based on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average(GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Students inducted into honor societies.

The Lambda Epsilon Sigma is Stonehill's Honor Society. The purpose of the society is to recognize and promote scholarship. Juniors and seniors who have attained a 3.5 cumulative grade point average are invited to apply for consideration. Acceptance into the society is based on evidence of academic achievement, of a pursuit of learning that extends beyond the classroom environment and of an ability to communicate effectively through writing. AdvoCats are a group of current students who assist the UVM Admissions Office in recruiting high-quality prospective students. AdvoCats lead campus tours and facilitate informational panels, attend open houses, and occasionally represent the university on student panels, off-site visit receptions, and college fairs.

The following Colgate University students are recipients of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the fall 2013 term at Colgate University. To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve a minumum 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that about 4,300 undergraduates have qualified for the Fall 2013 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York, New Jersey, and many other states and nations.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
